(CNN) — Demetrious Johnson is well known for his fast hands in the ring, but as soon as the gloves come off his fingers are pretty nimble as well.
“Mighty Mouse”Johnson left UFC for ONE Championship in 2018 and as part of his movement became the origin of their newest esports venture.
The UFC flyweight winner has had a longstanding endorsement and is a hardcore gamer, even a streamer that is Twitch.
“Esports as a whole has come on leaps and bounds from when it first started,” Johnson told CNN Sport’s Patrick Snell.
“At the beginning, people were like’no one is going to see somebody else play with video games. It’s completely absurd. I am not likely to do it.’
“But now you have companies such as Twitch and Mixer who are creating so much revenue with advertisement revenue from these awesome streamer personalities.
“A lot of A Single Championship’s lovers are millennials and millennials adore gaming. I like gaming so I was like’yeah I completely support this.'”

A new market
While One Championship has become the”largest global sports media property in Asian history,” they have yet been able to move that dominance to the remaining part of the globe.
After returning to this legendary Ry??goku Kokugikan in Tokyo in October for their 100th live event, One Championship is trying to penetrate the North America marketplace.
The business has signed up a three-year broadcast deal with TNT, meaning a portion of their displays are streamed on B/R Live, although plans are in place for a show in New York for 2020.

“There is the north American marketing, which is the UFC, and that’s the king of this mountain,” Johnson said.
“Then you’ve got the side, which is One Championship, that’s the king of this mountain there.
“One Championship are somewhat more focused on telling stories. It’s the house of martial arts.
“It doesn’t just celebrate mixed martial arts, but also celebrates Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Summit Wrestling and they have also had a boxing match.”
