This afternoon’s meeting at Hamilton has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track.
Requirements at the circuit were explained as heavy however raceable on Tuesday, however, the forecast of showers instantly prompted course officials to declare a precautionary inspection for 7am.
After checking on the track on raceday morning, it had been deemed there was”no prospect” of rushing going ahead.
A statement published on the Hamilton Racecourse Twitter feed read:”Following a 7am review of the trail, racing has sadly been abandoned.
“6.5millimeter rain overnight, on heavy ground, has left the route saturated and with additional rain forecast today there is not any possibility of racing”
