Liverpool are currently sweating on the fitness of Andy Robertson for their Champions League group-stage match.
The Champions League holders begin the defence of the European Cup title in Naples on Tuesday at the San Paolo Stadium. Additionally in Group E are side Genk and club RB Salzburg.
Liverpool left-back Robertson did not train with his team-mates they left Italy on Monday and will likely be further assessed by team medical staff on Tuesday before a decision would be taken on his availability for the game, before.
“Robbo didn’t train now and we must view,” Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp advised the club’s website.
“It isn’t a significant item, it was more precautionary today, but it isn’t 100 percent sure [he will be accessible ].
“We might have to examine it and then we will see.”
Liverpool are currently without Divock Origi for the Group E fixture when he suffered an injury in the Premier League leaders’ 3-1 triumph against Newcastle.
But Klopp thinks there is every possibility that Origi could return before the month’s end to action.
“The update on Div is the fact that it isn’t overly severe,” he said.
“We anticipate him [to be out for] between one and two weeks, however, it depends a bit on if he can take care of the pain.
“It is nothing actually; it’s a feeling, but it needs to be OK.”
