Napoli fan arrested over Inter supporter death before Serie A clash
A Napoliultra buff was detained and accused of killing the Inter Milan supporter who died after clashes outside the San Siro before a Serie A game last December.
A Napoli enthusiast, fabio Manduca, is accused of driving the SUV that struck Daniele Belardinelli, a 35-year-old Inter supporter who died on December 26 in the clashes.
Manduca, with a criminal record, has been charged with voluntary manslaughter.
Prosecutors believe that Manduca, who refused to answer inquiries by authorities from the 10-month investigation, has ties to the Camorra crime syndicate that is Naples-area.
The game was marred by racist chants that targeted Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
In March, five Inter supporters including the clubsultra leaders Marco Piovella and Nino Ciccarelli were sentenced for up to nearly four decades for their functions in the clashes.
