Seamus McEnaney confirmed as new Monaghan manager


Monaghan GAA have announced Seamus McEnaney’s appointment as director of their senior footballers.
‘Banty’ takes control of his county having formerly been at the helm between 2004 and 2010.
Prior to returning to the Farney County lately to take control of their sides he has managed both Meath and Wexford.
The departure of Malachy O’Rourke in the aftermath of the country’s jolt qualifier reduction to Armagh paved the road for McEnaney’s yield, also on Monday night his second coming was ratified together with the backroom group of Peter Donnelly, Conor Laverty, David McCague along with Ray Boyne.
“It is an honour and a chance to find the chance to handle this set of Monaghan players,” explained McEnaney in a declaration.
“The management staff and I are relishing the challenge of building on the previous great work of Malachy O’Rourke and ensure that Monaghan continues to compete at the highest level.”
